Ban on Lagos Okada: Good or Bad?

Now let's discuss Lagos in view of the recent Okada ban...a friend while lamenting this morning said "this banning of Okada is not just fair...for workers like me that have to get to work early or over-pass a heavy traffic, we need the Okada as a fast means of transportation."
Another friend said "I support the Ban in a way because the ban will help reduce okada theft, accidents on the expressway...''
Well, one obvious fact that cannot be disputed is the fact that apart from rendering so many jobless, the ban has led to an increase in fare prices as Passengers that would have altered for 'the Okada means of transport' now have to queue, push and struggle for seats in the few buses and tricycles available.
This morning, I was at the Agege/Pen cinema motor park and the queue of passengers was not a pleasing sight to behold. The buses available were not many enough to convey the passengers.
Oh by the way, in a bid to mark the Sallah day celebration, passengers shall be entitled to a free BRT ride on Friday. Also, Lagos commercial motorcyclists assembled today at  the Lagos high court to protest the ban.

What do you guys think?
